(2020- PRESENT) GLOBAL SHAPERS, VANCOUVER HUB–Born out of the WEF, the Global Shapers Community is a network of 7000 young leaders under the age of 30 across 171 countries working together to address local and global challenges. As one of 32 members in Vancouver, I am project co-lead with The FutureProof2030 initiative, which facilitates youth engagement on the next decade of the city’s growth to ensure an inclusive, equitable, and sustainable future. I also work on the Hub’s Digital Strategy team as a writer and digital content creator to foster civic participation. I have written 5 publications for the Hub through Medium and have increased readership from 20 to 460 readers/ month.
(2018-2019) POLICY CONSULTATIONS, FOR YOUTH WITH YOUTH–I helped spearhead policy consultations with a team of 20 students across 30 major Canadian cities for the Trudeau government’s inaugural Youth Policy (unveiled in May 2019) that engaged 2000+ youth in person and online. I also designed questionnaires for the consultations and on the day of the event, July 29th, 2018, facilitated the Jobs/ Economy focus group at the University of British Columbia campus, where over 100 participants attended. Lastly, I took on the lead writing role for the Jobs/ Economy section of the policy working paper by synthesizing research and coding 75+ survey questionnaires. *Our Key Achievement: The team received local and national media coverage as well as recognition by Ministers at Parliament Hill. Such consultations spurred further civic engagement for youth and incorporated policy recommendations by youth for youth within the first Canadian Youth Policy!

(2015 - 2018) CO-CHAIRING YOUTH ADVISORY COUNCIL, YWCA METRO VANCOUVER– I co-managed 10 committee members for 10 annual community events and workshops on digital media literacy through an intersectionality and social justice lens (10-70 attendees). I also developed and implemented programming for the Annual YWCA Youth Conference on Media and Civic Engagement (100+ attendees). Previously, I was involved as a YAC member from 2015-2016 and represented BC as a National Advisory Board Member on the YWCA Canada Team (2015-2017) by providing input regarding the development of workshops within the Metro Vancouver community and advocacy strategies to empower women via the Strong Girls, Strong World campaign.
(2017) LOGISTICS COORDINATOR, UBC ANNUAL STUDENT LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE–I created master signage plan, internal packages, organized equipment and conference resources internally and externally with the team for Canada’s largest Western student run conference: 1500 attendees on $60,000 budget. I also trained and managed audio visual/information technology team of 10 the day prior (dress-rehearsal) and on the day of the conference (January 8th) to troubleshoot technical difficulties for 40 concurrent workshops across campus.
